History of Walter Rau AG

The success story of WALTER RAU Neusser Öl und Fett AG began more than 100 years ago with the foundation of the oil mill Simons & Söhne in Neuss. After the takeover by Walter Rau and the change of the corporate name into WALTER RAU Neusser Ölwerke AG the determined development from an oil miller to a fat specialist started.

Since 1999 the WALTER RAU Neusser Öl und Fett AG acts as an independent profit centre within the CREMER GROUP. The CREMER GRUPPE trades with raw materials like cereals and oil-seeds on a world-wide basis. The production of milling products and cereals is part of the business portfolio as well as the manufacturing of oleo -chemicals.

The integration into this network of international production and trading companies provides gains in competence and synergies from which also you as our customers benefit.

1999 Restructuration of the RAU-GROUP Disposition of the majority of shares to the Peter Cremer Holding (Hamburg)

1999 Bio (organic) certification according to EWG 2092/91 Art. 5 (3)

2002 Environment certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001
