WALTER RAU AG donates coloured vegetable oil for art project in Ludwigshafen
Even if love…is a cooperation between two artists and art institutions. At invitation of Wilhelm-Hack Museum and Art Association Ludwigshafen the Japanese artist Yuko Shiraishi and the German artist Birgitta Weimer have developed together a concept for a huge installation for the 500 m² exhibition hall of the art association: The liquid material of the ground, coloured vegetable oil, will turn the room upside down and reflect the immense barrel vault with its grid construction and the enormous pipes in shining red.
Walter Rau Neusser Öl und Fett AG donates for this purpose special coloured vegetable oil, which became the favourite artist’s material after considerations concerning light and colour in the laboratories of Neuss.
