Walter Rau AG updates its IT infrastructure

After 10 months of work the time has finally come. Since December 1st 2008 a completely new IT infrastructure is available to the employees at the location in Neuss. During the process we permanently focused on the application of latest technologies. Now all users are administrated in Microsoft Active Directory based on Windows Server 2008. A modern firewall protects the companies network against external attacks and also forms a safe and simple possibility for the external access to internal resources.

Even during the project planning scalability, stabalitly and simplification were always kept in mind. All applications up to the desktop are distributed completely automated to the users. Complete desktop or notebook PC are preconfigured with the help of an unattended installation and afterwards are handed over to the users. An automated certification infrastructure meets highest security claims.

The project was planned, implemented and successfully started in close cooperation with the independent IT consulting firm IM-consult.net. All predefined aims concerning costs, timing and infrastructural fluting were completely achieved.
